I'm still new at this blogging thing, so please bear with me. I created this blog to update family and friends on our adoption process, plus it's a nice way to share the day-to-day happenings in the Raja household.
As many of you know, we started our adoption journey in January 2005. Preparing our dossier and homestudy was a breeze, and after an 11 month wait we finally received our referral. In May 2006, we were matched with a 7.5 month old baby boy from Mumbai (Bombay), India. His name is Samedh, which means "full of strength." We received CARA NOC (no objection certificate from India's Central Adoption Resource Agency) on August 11, and are currently waiting for our Guardianship case to be scheduled with the Bombay High Court. We hope to have Samedh home in the next few months. (This particular photo of Samedh was taken when he was approximately 8 months old.)
